At Oola Bowls®, we believe sweetness should come with intention. That’s why we choose nature’s sweeteners and minimally processed ingredients to create delicious bowls, blends and drinks that do more for your body and your day. 

Real Fruit

We use whole fruit like bananas, blueberries, strawberries, pineapple, apples, and kiwi in our bowls to add fiber, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Fruit also has a lower glycemic impact than refined sugar thanks to its natural fiber and water content.

We use pure, raw honey as a topping for added sweetness and a superfood boost since it’s the only sweetener that contains antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties.

Agave, which comes from extract sap of the agave plant, is a great vegan option with a classic, neutral flavor. It also has the lowest glycemic index of sweeteners, giving it a gentler effect on blood sugar. Because it’s 1.5x sweeter than regular sugar, we use just a drizzle because a little goes a long way.

Maple syrup comes from the sap of maple trees, boiled down to create a syrup with a caramel-like flavor that adds rich sweetness as a bowl topping. It’s another great plant-based option for vegan customers. It also contains antioxidants and trace minerals like manganese and zinc.

Demerera sugar comes from the sugar cane plant. We choose demerara sugar over highly refined white sugar as an added sweetener in our açaí and pitaya bases for its more natural profile and subtle, richer flavor. It’s less processed and free from bleaching or additives.
